Crew:
Lori R (1st timer), Kelly H (1st trip at night anchor), Matt H, Chris K, and Brian (captain, 2nd time captaining a night anchor trip).

Map of our route:

Trip Summary / Captain's Log:
Day 1, Friday: Set sail ~5pm, sun set around Hermit Is. Sailed past dark. West winds, turning NE overnight. Anchored E side of Rocky Is. at base of "goose neck". Difficult anchoring, due to having to avoid other anchored boats in darkness. Picked up 20'-30' submerged log on raising the anchor once. Smooth anchorage site, wavy in the morning. Decided it's more fun to anchor at dark, rather than past dark.

Day 2, Saturday: Tried to see sea caves at Devils Is., fought NE winds west of S. Twin Is. Tacking into swells wasn't so fun for the crew. Turned around SW, and sailed around W side of Stockton; anchored in Presque Isle Bay, with ~55 other boats! Lori, Matt, Kelly & Brian came ashore and did some hiking on the peninsula. Steaks on the grill for dinner. Night at anchorage saw some Norther Light activity, & star gazing.

Day 3, Sunday: Headed back to Pike's Bay, light winds, had to motor. Raised top sail for the first time on the trip.
