Crew: Brian L, Andrew C, Betsy M, Austin M, Kristen M, Noah C, Lori R, Kali L Thursday: - Abbey Road Beatles album 50th anniversary today(!) - Close to departing marina late; stayed due to lack of dish soap Friday: - Breakfast Burritos @ marina slip - Sailed to S side of Otter Island, C-dog (docked at Otter) radioed us asking for Bronte.  (Thusly, the parrot became known as "Bronte".) - BL+BM kayaked to shore and met C-dog owner, and his actual dog Lucy. - Pork tenderloins and pasta salad dinner at anchorage - Clear night skies, meteor shower - AC+KL kayaked shoreline in the dark w/ headlamps ("creepy") Saturday: - Crew slept in, Breakfast burrito breakfast - Motored to S end of Rocky Island - AC+KM kayaked across to South Twin Island while the rest of the crew enjoyed shore & trails on Rocky.  Some hiked to old fishing village. - Motored to South Twin Island to pick up kayakers, then motored to Devils Island     - NC+AM+BL took kayaks ...

Crew:  Brian, Eric T, Jason R, Betsy M, Kate S, Matt H, Russell N Route, Highlights: Friday: - Before setting sail from Barker's Island Marina, Jason fixed faulty bilge pump - Sailed/motored from Superior, WI to Apostle Islands in light winds - Saw freighter shining searchlight all over (e.g. at us) NW of islands - Anchored S of Otter Is. @ ~1am in light N winds Saturday: - French toast breakfast - Rained all morning, 5 went to shore on Otter Is. - Left anchorage @ 4:30pm - Motored to E side of Stockton Is. through thick fog (accompanied ominously by Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack). -  Arrived @ balancing rock @6pm, with thick fog.  Took 3 shifts kayaking. - Tacos! - Dusk, motored to anchroage @ Julian Bay, foggy. - Encountered a persistent moonbow to the East (thanks to  the fog) - @1-2am fog cleared, Northern lights display (faint arch/band across north, with fainter streaking above it) until beginnings of dawn . Crew: Brian & Lisa, Eric & Krista, Matt & Christine, Peter, Austin Route/Highlights: Friday - Breakfast @ Egg Toss, raining - Left Pikes Bay, sailing race going on between Bayfield & Madeline, so went South to Long Island - Checked out Long Is. lighthouses from the water, sailed S of Madeline in 2-4ft waves - Krista "motion sick" (probably just a cold). - Found ever shelter @ Presque Isle Bay, via Big Bay; clear night - Dinghied to shore Saturday - French toast & bacon breakfast - Motored West, explored S shore of Stockton on the way be kayak, W of Quarry Bay - Motored to N side of Oak - Various shore crews - Sailed North, around Bear Is., steak/potatoes/asparagus under sail, calm - Anchored W side of Raspberry 11pm Sunday - Motored, anchored in shoals E of Raspberry lighthouse; land party to docks (1.5ft waves, a bit tumultuous getting into kayaks/dinghy); played croquet - Mostly motored home Pictures: - Brian's - https:/...
