Crew: Brian L, Eric & Krista B, Andrew C, Noah C, Betsy M, Kate S, Austin M
Thursday:
- Stopped at Bent Paddle's new location in Duluth, ordered takeout from Oink-Moo-Cluck
- Departed Pikes Bay Marina 10pm
- Anchored Julian Bay (Stockton)
Friday:
- Shore party, swam, hiked, mystery sand, blueberries
- Motored to Outer Island lighthouse/dock; Brian & Betsy kayaked to shore, met 2 sleeping kayakers
- Sailed W, posta/sausages/tomatosauce en route / (Yacht Rock!)
- Austin & Andrew kayaked Devils Island sea caves @ dusk/twilight
- Anchored at Oak Island, stars
Saturday:
- Kayaked, hiked Oak Island / Breakfast Sandwiches
- Motored W to Sand Island: Silt came in from local runoff (for the rest of the trip) / Black flies (which had been bad up to this point) faded mostly away.
- Kayaked Sand Island caves (in Kayak & Dinghy, crowded w/ kayakers)
- Hiked & Motored to Sand Island lighthouse, toured
- Motored to York Island for the evening; Fajitas dinner
- The Lake spoke (told us to enjoy kayaking @ anchorage) and we listened. LSTS board member stopped by on dingy; Noah recognized/knew fellow rowboaters in the bay.
Sunday:
- Motored/Sailed back to marina
